Central Depository Services (India) Limited (CDSL), Asia’s only listed depository, has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Management, Mumbai (IIM Mumbai) to strengthen collaboration in data analytics and financial market research.

This alliance aims to combine CDSL’s deep industry experience with IIM Mumbai’s academic and analytical capabilities. The partnership will focus on areas such as consulting, joint research, real-world case studies, live projects, internships, and expert-led sessions. It will also promote skill and competency development for students and professionals alike.

IIM Mumbai will provide support in advanced data analytics, strategic decision-making, and risk management using modern econometric models and machine learning techniques. CDSL, in turn, will contribute its market insights to guide high-impact research addressing current challenges in the financial sector.

As part of the initiative, CDSL leaders will engage with IIM Mumbai’s students through lectures and workshops, while both institutions will co-develop whitepapers and studies focused on India’s evolving financial ecosystem.

This collaboration marks a major step in bridging academia and industry, aiming to drive innovation, improve decision-making, and strengthen the future talent pipeline in financial services.
