Bharti Airtel (“Airtel”), one of India’s leading telecommunications service providers, has announced a significant expansion of its network infrastructure across the western state of Gujarat. Over the past seven months, Airtel has implemented a substantial deployment initiative, erecting more than 1,700 new cellular towers across the region. This effort translates to an impressive rate of over eight new towers being installed daily.
With this enhanced infrastructure, Airtel aims to empower residents and businesses in Gujarat to seamlessly access its suite of cutting-edge voice, data, and digital services. This expansion is part of Airtel’s broader strategy to enhance its rural network in Gujarat, one of its key markets. Through this initiative, Airtel will extend its coverage to 7,000 villages across the state, impacting over 5 million people.
Airtel’s network now provides connectivity in urban, semi-urban, and rural areas, including highways, tourist destinations, and trade centers, ensuring comprehensive coverage throughout the region.
To celebrate these milestone achievements, Airtel has launched a campaign featuring popular Gujarati folk singer Aditya Gadhvi, known for his hit “Khalasi” from Coke Studio Bharat. The campaign highlights Gadhvi’s surprise at Airtel’s rapid network improvements, showcasing high-speed connectivity in even the most remote areas of Gujarat.
