Astra Microwave Products Limited has entered into a Memorandum of Undertaking (MoU) with Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a public sector undertaking under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India. The development has been disclosed in compliance with regulatory requirements and marks a collaborative step in India’s defence and aerospace electronics ecosystem.

Under the MoU, Astra Microwave and BEL will work together on the design, development and manufacturing of advanced electronic modules, subsystems and complete systems for defence electronics and aerospace applications. The collaboration will focus on critical technology domains such as Electronic Warfare (EW), radar systems and satellite-related technologies, which are considered vital for strengthening national defence capabilities.

The agreement is aimed at fostering indigenous design and production capabilities in high-end defence technologies, in line with India’s broader push for self-reliance in the defence sector. By combining Astra Microwave’s expertise in high-frequency and microwave solutions with BEL’s established presence in defence electronics, the partnership seeks to enhance domestic manufacturing and technology development across sensitive and strategic segments.

As per the disclosure, there is no shareholding between Astra Microwave Products Limited and Bharat Electronics Limited arising from this MoU. The agreement does not grant any special rights such as board representation, rights to appoint directors, preferential share subscriptions, or restrictions on capital structure changes. Additionally, the transaction does not fall under related party transactions, and the parties are not related to each other’s promoters or group companies.
