Afcons Infrastructure awarded Rs 503.86 crore water supply project under Jal Jeevan Mission

The project, with a total value of ₹503.86 crore, will include the construction of an intake well, water treatment plant (WTP), and the complete transmission system up to OHSRs (Overhead Service Reservoirs).

Afcons Infrastructure Limited, a leading construction and engineering company, has been declared the lowest bidder (L1) for a significant water supply project under the Jal Jeevan Mission. The project, which involves the development of a water supply system for 353 villages in the Dungarpur District, Rajasthan, will be executed by the Afcons-Hindustan JV, a joint venture between Afcons and Hindustan Projects.

The project, with a total value of ₹503.86 crore, will include the construction of an intake well, water treatment plant (WTP), and the complete transmission system up to OHSRs (Overhead Service Reservoirs). Additionally, the project includes an operation and maintenance (O&M) period of ten years after a one-year defect liability period.

The contract was awarded by the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED), Udaipur, under the E-Procurement System of the Government of Rajasthan. This project is a crucial part of the Jal Jeevan Mission, which aims to provide safe and sufficient drinking water to all rural households in India.
