ACME Solar Holdings Limited has strengthened its renewable energy portfolio with the commissioning of an additional 12 MW at its wind power project in Surendranagar, Gujarat. The latest commissioning has been executed through its subsidiary, ACME Eco Clean Energy Pvt Ltd, taking the project’s total operational capacity to 68 MW out of the planned 100 MW, which is being developed in a phased manner.

The Gujarat-based wind project has been financed by Power Finance Corporation and constructed using ACME Solar’s in-house engineering, procurement, and construction capabilities. The company has deployed 4 MW wind turbine generators supplied by SANY for the project, reflecting a focus on high-capacity turbines to optimise generation efficiency.

Power generated from the wind project will be sold under a long-term 25-year Power Purchase Agreement with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited, providing revenue visibility and stability over the project life. Such long-term PPAs continue to play a critical role in supporting the financial viability of large-scale renewable energy assets in India.

The commissioning of the additional 12 MW capacity was witnessed by officials from Gujarat Energy Development Agency and Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Limited. The commissioning has been formally recorded in the minutes of meeting, and the statutory commissioning certificate is expected to be issued shortly.
