Ms. Priti Kataria has stepped down as Chief Human Resources Officer and Senior Management Personnel, with her resignation effective close of business on March 31, 2026, due to personal reasons. Birlasoft has appointed Mr. Arun Rao to the position of Chief Human Resources Officer and Senior Management Personnel in her place, effective April 1, 2026.
Arun Rao is a human resources and leadership development professional who has been associated with Birlasoft since 2020. He recently served as Group Head – Leadership Development at the CKA Birla Group until March 2026. He brings over three decades of experience across HR leadership, talent development, and organisational transformation. His previous roles include Chief People Officer at Birlasoft, India HR Head at DXC Technology, Chief Learning Officer at Deloitte USI, and various senior HR leadership positions. Rao holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Delhi and a Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations from XLRI, Jamshedpur.
Mr. Selvakumaran Mannappan has also resigned as Chief Operating Officer and Senior Management Personnel, effective March 31, 2026, citing personal reasons. Mr. Vikram Puranik has been appointed to fill this position, effective April 1, 2026. Puranik holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics & Telecommunications from Amravati University and has developed deep expertise in global delivery leadership, engineering management, and operational execution across multi-country environments. He served most recently as Senior Vice President – Engineering at GlobalLogic since 2021, with responsibility for large-scale engineering and delivery operations. He brings over two decades of experience across global IT services organisations, having previously held positions including VP & Managing Director – Delivery & Operations at Infostretch, VP – Engineering at GlobalLogic, and EVP & Chief of Delivery at Nitor Infotech.
Additionally, Mr. Manjunath Kygonahally has resigned as Chief Executive Officer – Rest of the World & Global Head – Strategic Growth Initiatives and Senior Management Personnel, effective close of business on March 31, 2026, due to personal reasons. The Board noted his resignation but has not announced a successor at this time.
