Birlasoft has announced significant changes in its leadership team, effective from April 1, 2026. The Board of Directors, in a meeting held on March 30, 2026, approved the appointments of Mr. Arun Rao and Mr. Vikram Puranik as the new Chief Human Resources Officer and Chief Operating Officer, respectively.
Ms. Priti Kataria, who served as the Chief Human Resources Officer and a Senior Management Personnel, has resigned due to personal reasons. Her resignation will be effective at the close of business hours on March 31, 2026. Mr. Arun Rao, who has been with the company since 2020 and recently served as Group Head – Leadership Development at the CKA Birla Group, will take over the role. He brings over three decades of experience in HR leadership and organisational transformation.
Similarly, Mr. Selvakumaran Mannappan has resigned from his position as Chief Operating Officer for personal reasons, effective March 31, 2026. Mr. Vikram Puranik, who will succeed him, holds extensive expertise in global delivery leadership and engineering management. He previously served as Senior Vice President – Engineering at GlobalLogic and has over two decades of experience in global IT services organisations.
Additionally, Mr. Manjunath Kygonahally has resigned from his role as Chief Executive Officer – Rest of the World & Global Head – Strategic Growth Initiatives, effective March 31, 2026. The company has not announced a successor for this position yet.
