Adani Total Gas Limited (ATGL), a leading energy and city gas distribution company under the Adani Group, and Flipkart have formalized their commitment to reduce carbon footprint through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed on December 27.
Under the MoU, ATGL and Flipkart will collaborate to minimize the carbon impact in the transportation of goods across sourcing locations, warehouses, and customer delivery. ATGL will play a crucial role by providing decarbonization solutions, aiding Flipkart in the shift toward cleaner fuel alternatives such as natural gas and the integration of electric vehicles into their fleet.
The partnership extends to Adani TotalEnergies E-Mobility Limited (ATEL), a subsidiary, which will be responsible for the installation of electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure across Flipkart’s extensive supply chain network, including warehouses and logistics facilities throughout India. This collaborative effort aims to significantly reduce the carbon footprint associated with the e-commerce logistics sector, which handles over 8 million shipments daily.
