Orient Green Power Company has been penalised with a total fine of ₹3,20,960 by the Limited and the National Stock Exchange of India Limited. The penalty was imposed for alleged non-compliance with Regulation 17(1A) of the SEBI Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements Regulations, 2015.

The company had previously submitted an application to the BSE Limited, requesting a waiver of the fines as per SEBI’s circular dated January 22, 2020. However, this request was rejected by the Internal Regulatory Oversight and Review Group of BSE Limited, as communicated via email on April 30, 2026.

The fines, which include GST, were levied for the quarters ending June 2023 and September 2023. has already deposited the fine amount with the stock exchanges under protest while pursuing the waiver application. Consequently, the company stated that there is no financial impact arising from this decision.

The penalties were communicated through emails received from both stock exchanges on August 21, 2023, for the quarter ending June 2023, and on November 21, 2023, for the quarter ending September 2023. The rejection of the waiver application was specifically communicated by the BSE’s Listing Compliance Team on April 30, 2026.

Orient Green Power maintains that the application for a waiver was made in good faith and not due to any deliberate or material non-compliance.
