Escorts Kubota Limited (EKL), one of India’s well-known engineering groups in the agriculture and construction equipment space, has rolled out its latest third-generation Ride-On Rice Transplanters, the KA6 and KA8, under the Kubota brand. These new models, developed in Japan, focus on higher productivity, better comfort for the operator and improved planting precision, making them a strong upgrade for farmers looking to shift toward mechanized paddy farming.
The company has launched the transplanters across seven states—Tamil Nadu, Punjab, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Telangana—regions where demand for mechanized rice-planting solutions has been rising steadily.
Both KA6 and KA8 machines run on Kubota’s fuel-efficient engines that produce 21 and 24 horsepower. This ensures reliable performance even in challenging field conditions. They also come equipped with a smart turning system for smoother manoeuvring and an automatic lift function that makes cornering easier, reducing stress for the operator. The multifunction control lever supports effortless handling, while the horizontal control mechanism helps maintain uniform planting depth throughout the field.
The redesigned planting claws help reduce missed seedlings and ensure more accurate placement, contributing to better crop growth and dependable yields. Escorts Kubota has also added a new seedling-picking guide that enhances accuracy and overall planting quality.
Comfort and usability have been given special attention as well. The machines offer a wider platform for easy movement, along with an ergonomic layout that helps reduce operator fatigue during long hours in the field. LED lamps make late-evening operations more convenient, while the lighter planting section and longer wheelbase improve balance and stability. This design also helps the machines cross bigger ridges and handle deep, wet field conditions without compromising performance.
