Aerolloy Technologies Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of PTC Industries Limited, has achieved a major milestone in India’s aerospace and defence sector with the successful installation and commissioning of its state-of-the-art Vacuum Induction Melting (VIM) furnace and advanced manufacturing facilities for superalloys.

This expansion positions Aerolloy as one of the very few companies globally capable of producing the largest superalloy investment castings in the world. The new facility will also manufacture superalloy ingots and cast sticks, catering to high-demand applications in aerospace, defence, and space propulsion.

Superalloys are critical for high-temperature and high-stress environments, including aero-engines, industrial gas turbines, and advanced defence systems. With these new capabilities, Aerolloy not only strengthens its supply chain but also boosts India’s indigenous manufacturing capacity in these strategic sectors.

The addition of the VIM furnace allows Aerolloy to offer a fully integrated supply chain, from producing high-quality input alloys to delivering near-net-shape precision castings. This integration enhances operational efficiency, reduces costs, and fosters stronger customer partnerships.

The timing of this expansion aligns with the global surge in demand for high-performance superalloys, particularly in next-generation aircraft engines, industrial gas turbines, and space propulsion systems. The worldwide superalloy market is projected to exceed USD 15 billion annually, offering Aerolloy significant growth opportunities both domestically and internationally.

By introducing these cutting-edge manufacturing capabilities, Aerolloy Technologies reinforces its position as a key player in the global superalloy market, while simultaneously strengthening India’s role in the aerospace and defence supply chain.
