Centum Electronics Limited has announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a leading defence PSU under the Ministry of Defence. This agreement sets the stage for a long-term strategic partnership in the field of defence electronics.
Under the MoU, Centum and BEL will collaborate across key domains such as Electronic Warfare (EW) systems, Radar systems, and Secure Military Communication systems. The partnership aims to combine the complementary strengths of both organisations to design, develop, and manufacture advanced defence electronics solutions for the Indian Armed Forces as well as allied international markets.
While the MoU represents a broad strategic intent at this stage and carries no immediate financial impact, the agreement is expected to pave the way for significant opportunities in the defence sector. Centum has confirmed that any material contracts arising from this collaboration will be disclosed in line with regulatory requirements.
This move strengthens Centum’s position in India’s growing defence electronics ecosystem and highlights BEL’s role as a trusted government enterprise driving indigenous defence manufacturing under the ‘Make in India’ initiative.
