Tata Communications, a global digital ecosystem enabler, has announced a strategic collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS), a subsidiary of Amazon.com, to enable an advanced AI-ready network across India. This initiative aims to support the rising demand for generative AI and cloud innovation in the country.
As part of the plan, Tata Communications will establish a high-capacity, resilient long-distance network connecting AWS infrastructure in Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Chennai. This will be one of the largest network deployments in India in terms of scale, size, and bandwidth by Tata Communications.
The partnership is focused on building the backbone needed to support AI and machine learning (ML) workloads by ensuring ultra-low latency and high-bandwidth connectivity across key AWS locations.
