RITES Ltd., a leading transport infrastructure consultancy and engineering company, has recently informed exchanges that the company signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL), a government-owned mining company under the Ministry of Mines. The collaboration aims to develop a fast, reliable, and sustainable supply chain for metals and minerals, including critical minerals, both in India and abroad.
This partnership will focus on key areas such as exploration, extraction, refining, and production of minerals. Both organizations will combine their technical expertise and financial resources to participate in mineral block auctions and build necessary mining infrastructure.
Under this agreement, RITES will offer comprehensive consultancy and logistics services to support HCL’s mining activities. These services will cover project planning, development of transport infrastructure, multimodal transport solutions, and support for rolling stock (trains and equipment).
