NBCC (India) Limited, a leading Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India, has secured a new work order valued at approximately Rs 130.58 crore. The contract was awarded by North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Limited (NEEPCO), a Mini-Ratna Category-I company under the Ministry of Power.
The scope of the project involves the comprehensive development of a modern township across 21.66 acres of land located at Umsawli, Mawdiangdiang, Shillong in the state of Meghalaya. This township development will cater to residential and infrastructural needs associated with NEEPCO’s operational and employee housing requirements.
According to NBCC’s exchange filing dated April 29, 2025, the value of the awarded work is exclusive of applicable Goods and Services Tax (GST). The project falls within NBCC’s core line of business activities and is expected to significantly enhance its presence in the North Eastern region of India.
