Bajaj Auto is set to launch a new Pulsar in India, with a teaser hinting at an updated Pulsar RS200. The official social media post reveals an aggressive exhaust note, fueling speculations about the arrival of a more thrilling, 200cc motorcycle. Though Bajaj has not announced an exact launch date, it is expected to hit the market in January 2025.
The teaser captioned, “The sound is enough. You already know what it is.. or do you?” suggests the new Pulsar could feature a fully updated RS200. The current RS200 uses a 199.5cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine, producing 24 bhp at 9,750 rpm and 18.7Nm of peak torque at 8,000 rpm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The exhaust note in the teaser seems to echo the characteristics of a 200cc engine, further supporting this possibility.
The updated RS200 is likely to come with cutting-edge features, including a dual-projector headlight setup with twin LED daytime running lights (DRLs), LED indicators, and a sleek LED tail lamp. However, the semi-digital instrument cluster, while functional, may seem outdated compared to newer models, and it does not support smartphone connectivity.
