Veteran lyricist Salim Khan has recently come forward to discuss Baba Siddique’s murder and whether it was done for his son Salman Khan. In an interview with ABP News, Salim saab said he does not believe there is any link between the two.
Salim Khan said, “Nahi, mujhe nahi lagta hai ki isse koi taluk hai. Isse koi taluk nahi hai, mujhe nahi lagta. Baba Siddique ka isse kya taluk hoga? Kisi bhi cheez ka bana dijiye. Aapne humko salaam nahi kiya, ab hum aapko maar denge. Aapne humko namaste nahi kiya, hum maar denge.”
Speaking again when the interviewer insisted that there is a story that Baba Siddique was killed, because he wanted to rescue Salman from Lawrence Bishnoi, Salim said that the police are protecting Salman’s family too. He continued, “Isme kya hai? Har koi bachana chahta hai…Zindagi jo hai kabhi bhi ja sakti hai, kisi ki bhi jasakti hai.”
For those unaware, NCP leader Baba Siddique was killed by gunmen last week at night outside the office of his MLA son Zeeshan Siddique in Mumbai’s posh locality Bandra. The two of the shooters were later taken into custody. On Friday, more persons were nabbed for alleged involvement in supplying firearms and other assistance to the shooters involved in the Baba Siddique murder case, police said, adding that the total arrest in the sensational case rose to nine.
