Indo Count Industries Ltd., a leading global player in the bed linen industry, has made a strategic move by acquiring Modern Home Textiles Inc., a U.S.-based manufacturer of pillows and other filled products. This acquisition follows the company’s earlier purchase of Fluvitex USA, Inc., expanding Indo Count’s presence in the utility bedding segment in North America.
With the acquisition of Modern Home Textiles, which is based in Phoenix, Arizona, Indo Count’s U.S. manufacturing capacity now includes the production of 13 million pillows and 1.5 million quilts annually. The combined expected revenue from both acquisitions is projected to exceed USD 85 million. The acquisitions also enhance Indo Count’s distribution capabilities, with facilities strategically located in the Midwest and West Coast.
Anil Kumar Jain, Executive Chairman of Indo Count Industries, expressed his enthusiasm for the acquisition, stating, “This strategic acquisition accelerates our ambition to grow the Utility Bedding segment while enhancing our market reach in North America.”
This move is part of Indo Count’s broader strategy to strengthen its foothold in the U.S. market by meeting customer demands and creating new jobs. The acquisition of Modern Home Textiles is expected to significantly enhance the company’s capabilities in delivering innovative, sustainable bedding solutions.
The acquisition aligns with Indo Count’s goal to establish a robust utility bedding business and to cater to its growing customer base across North America.
