Mahindra Group, a leading Indian multinational conglomerate, has announced a strategic partnership with Sentrycs Ltd, an Israeli counter-drone technology company, to develop and provide anti-drone solutions in India. The collaboration, formalized through a Non-Binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), aims to address the growing concerns of drone-based threats in both civilian and military contexts.
Key Highlights:
- The partnership focuses on the transfer of technology (TOT) and manufacturing of radio frequency-based counter-drone solutions under India’s ‘Make in India’ initiative.
- The proposed anti-drone system is an autonomous and integrated solution with a command and control (C2) module, capable of detecting, tracking, identifying, and mitigating incoming drones.
- The system can differentiate between friendly and hostile drones, and safely land threat drones in predefined zones without causing collateral damage.
- Applications include protection of critical infrastructure in urban areas and as part of broader multi-layered anti-drone solutions for military use.
