Marvel knows just how to set the internet ablaze, and the recent Deadpool & Wolverine marketing is no exception. Remember when Hugh Jackman’s shadow caused an online frenzy in the first teaser trailer? Well, the latest promo for Deadpool 3 has done it again, this time with just a pair of legs stealing the spotlight.

In a cheeky nod to Best Friends Day, Ryan Reynolds dropped a new 60-second teaser for DP3 on June 8. While much of it features familiar footage — Wade and Logan bantering in Joe’s Diner, Wade with his usual crew — there are a few new shots that have fans buzzing.

Around the 30-second mark, the trailer showcases two mirrored shots: one featuring the adorable Dogpool, a canine spin on our beloved Merc with the Mouth, and the other revealing a mysterious pair of legs adorned in a suit reminiscent of Deadpool’s. Speculation runs wild that this could be our first glimpse of Lady Deadpool.

But whose legs are these? Who’s playing Lady Deadpool in Deadpool 3?

As of the Best Friends Day trailer, the answer remains elusive. While the role of Lady Deadpool has long been rumored for the threequel, Marvel’s spoiler protection squad has kept casting details under wraps.

However, Marvel enthusiasts have narrowed it down to two frontrunners, both linked to major stars believed to be part of the movie. Taylor Swift’s potential appearance in DP3 has sparked fervent speculation, with many theories suggesting she could portray mutant pop star Dazzler. But perhaps we’ve been chasing the wrong lead?

Others believe the more plausible choice is Blake Lively. Reynolds casting his own wife as a Deadpool variant seems like just the kind of zany idea that would spring from his twisted imagination. Watching the real-life couple spar on screen as two Deadpools would be a riot and could make up for their less-than-stellar superhero movie history.

Nepotism casting is nothing new in the MCU — just look at Chris Hemsworth bringing in his family for Thor: Love and Thunder. So the odds are high that Lively could indeed appear in Deadpool & Wolverine. And for Swifties holding out hope, a Dazzler cameo might still be in the cards.

Deadpool & Wolverine is gearing up to dazzle and delight (and possibly confuse) audiences on July 26. Get ready for a wild ride!
