Kia is making a major move toward electric vehicles and has hinted at the EV3, an anticipated electric compact SUV. Based on Kia’s “opposites united” idea, it shares a lot with the recently introduced full-size 7-seater SUV, the Kia EV9. On May 23, 2024, Kia will officially reveal the EV3 worldwide on their “Kia Worldwide” YouTube channel.
The EV3 will be positioned behind the highly popular EV6 and the flagship EV9. It appears to feature a similar design language to the EV9, with tapering LED headlights and rear LED taillights. The overall design will include boxy elements that seem quite futuristic. Eco-friendly materials will be used inside the interiors of the EV3.
Although the EV3’s technical specifications are yet unknown, we anticipate that it will come in single and dual motor variants, the latter of which will include AWD. There should also be the option of several battery packs that have different long ranges based on version and fast charging.
Similar to the previously released EV9, we anticipate the EV3 will come in four variants: Light, Wind, Land and GT-Line. We anticipate the EV3’s starting price to be around $30,000 (roughly Rs 25 Lakh) in the United States when it is released as an entry-level EV.
