Hetero Ltd. has received approval for selling anti viral frug favipairavir to cure COVID-19.
Favipiravir and Remdesivir are the two drugs which are being used mainly to cure mild to moderate Covid 19 cases in India.
Hetero Ltd. Is a Hyderabad based Phermaceutical company, it will sell its own version at Rs.59. The drugs will be available in the general medicinal stores from today. Confirmed Reuters.
Favipiravir was originally developed by Japan’s Fujifilm Holdings Corp. Hetero also has a license with US-based Gilead Sciences Inc to make remdesivir.
Earlier Cipla too has got the regulatory approval of making its own version of favipiravir known as Ciplanza. Ciplanza will be launched by 1st week of August. It will be available at the rate of Rs.68 per tablet.
