Google is amending its rules to limit spyware ads. Google is amending its rules to ban ads for spyware and other illegal surveillance technologies next month.

Although advertisements for these items are still in breach of Google’s Promoting Unethical Conduct policy. But the move would make the monitoring technology restriction clear. And result in enhanced compliance, a spokeswoman for the firm said.

As per Google, the policy prohibited spyware. And malicious advertising. “Which could be used to track emails , phone calls or search history”. This also bans “GPS trackers expressly advertised to monitor. Or record someone without their permission”. And “advertised for the explicit intent of spying” for cameras or recording devices.

Moreover, according to company the amendment “does not allowed the marketing. Or surveillance of goods or services that are commercialized. Or targeted for the specific purpose of monitoring or recording other persons or their practices.

Furthermore, the policy change will be enforced internationally on 11 August. And Google informs that the contravening advertisers are suspended.
