Tata Consultancy Services, one of the India’s largest IT services firm affirmed that it will provide over 40,000 offers to campus graduates in India, as per The Economic Times report.

It further stated that it will hire fresh graduates across campuses in the US and Latin America. The company also looks forward to strengthen itself to meet the growing demand of its services from global customers.

The company expressed that there is no dearth of supply of talents in the country. Furthermore, it ruled out concerns by startups and rivals over rising wages of tech talent in the country. NG Subhramanian, chief operating officer of TCS voiced that there is nowhere else in the world that you will get such phenomenal talent and the scale that it will get in India.

He explained, “If somebody says that the Indian talent is becoming more expensive and salaries are higher than Poland and Eastern Europe because that’s available at a lower cost, I will be very surprised because we are into this globally.”

The company in a press release notified that TCS became the first Indian IT company to surpass the 500,000 people milestone along with a total headcount of 509,058 at the conclusion of the first quarter of 2022. The company added around 20,409 employees during this quarter. It also reported low attribution level of 8.6 per cent. The company have trained more than 478,000 employees in agile methods and nearly 407,000 employees have been trained on multiple new technologies.

The press release added, TCS philosophy of investing in people along with its progressive workplace policies have resulted in industry-leading talent retention.

On Friday, Chief HR Officer of TCS, Milind Lakkad informed that they have hired over 40,000 people from the campus last year. He also proposed to hire more individuals this year in India.

As per reports, TCS will also hire over 2000 people from campuses in US and Latin America, as it looks forward to replicate its successful model in India of hiring fresh graduates and train them to execute projects for clients.

Milind Lakkad voiced that the talent in India is not expensive and the company has a programme to train and groom talents. The firm notified that it has expanded its national qualifier test, which is the virtual exam for hiring freshers every quarter.
