Taliban members spotted enjoying rides in Kabul amusement park

The video was shared by Reuters journalist Hamid Shalizi. The video was originally shared on Twitter by an account called @Zabehulah_M33, and it claims to be the Official Twitter account of the spokesman of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Zabihullah Mujahid.

In a video shared by Reuters journalist Hamid Shalizi, members of the insurgent group Taliban were seen enjoying rides in an amusement park on August 16.

In another video circulated by the journalist Taliban members are seen to be riding play horses in the amusement park. Some of the members were seen to carry weapons with them.

This is in contrast to previously circulated videos which show chaos and widespread among people who are trying to flee Afghanistan. 

Several videos have been shared about the situation in Afghanistan. In one other video Taliban members were shown asking Afghan citizens how happy they are under Taliban rule. 

Chaos ensued in Afghanistan on Sunday as the Taliban took control of the country ending a 20-year-old war with the US. Soon after, President Ashraf Ghani fled the country to avoid bloodshed. US President Joe Biden pulled out US troops from the country saying that it was time for them to leave the country. Countries across the world are sending flights to bring back their citizens and embassy officials.
