President Donald Trump issued a strong warning to Iran, stating that the US military posture is geared toward bombing if negotiations fail, declaring that American forces are “ready to go.”

In his latest remarks amid fragile ceasefire talks, Trump emphasized that the United States maintains overwhelming military readiness and will not hesitate to resume strikes if a comprehensive deal is not reached soon.

Trump Signals Potential Return to Bombing Iran

Trump directly addressed the current situation, saying the expected US posture with Iran is bombing, adding that “we’re ready to go.”

The comments come as the temporary ceasefire — agreed upon earlier this month — nears its expiration. Trump has repeatedly warned that without a strong agreement addressing Iran’s nuclear program and the Strait of Hormuz, the US will restart military operations.

He previously stated that if no deal materializes by the deadline, “we’ll have to start dropping bombs again,” underscoring that the military option remains fully on the table and that US forces are prepared for immediate action.

US Maintains Strong Leverage with Hormuz Blockade

Trump’s latest comments align with his ongoing “maximum pressure” strategy. The US naval blockade of Iranian ports and effective control over the Strait of Hormuz continue to squeeze Iran’s economy, giving Washington significant negotiating power.

Earlier, Trump described the blockade as a “tremendous success,” noting that the United States “totally controls” the vital waterway through which a large portion of global oil passes. He has made clear the blockade will not be lifted until a final deal is secured.
