A team of the popular fast-food chain, Burger King, talk about mass resignation by quitting at the same time, leaving just a notice on the signboard that read “we all quit, sorry for the inconvenience”. Tired of poor working conditions and lack of staff, the whole team of Burger King Nebraska quit at the same time, according to a report released by WION News.
For the past few days, the air-conditioning system of the kitchen had been broken, and the issue had been flagged to the management. Due to this, the employees in the Nebraska outlet were unsatisfied with the working conditions in the kitchen.
Due to extremely high temperatures, some employees of the outlet were dehydrated and had to be admitted to hospitals for fluids. A few days were given to the management to repair the cooling system by the Burger King workers. Along with the above mentioned, the outlet was heavily short-staffed, while the manager claims to have worked for 50 to 60 hours per week.
The sign was changed to “Now hiring. flexible schedules” soon after the post became viral and the top management of Burger King had to get in contact with the manager of the outlet immediately.
A statement was put up within a few hours by Burger King saying that their franchisee was looking into the situation to ensure that this doesn’t happen in the future.
