Negative RT-PCR report required for traveling from India to Turkey: Turkish Embassy

From Saturday, passengers traveling from India to Turkey will be required to submit a negative COVID-19 report from the RT-PCR test done not more than 72 hours before arrival, said the Turkish Embassy.

The rule will also be applied to those passengers who have been in India 14 days before coming to their travel to Turkey.

Passengers will be free from mandatory quarantine only if they have had at least both doses of the vaccines approved for emergency use by the World Health Organization, and at least 14 days have passed since the last dose, as per the updated rules for travelers from India to Turkey from 4 September.

The statement also says that Passengers who cannot provide the above-mentioned certificate will be quarantined in their residence or the address they will declare.

According to the revised rules, On the 10th day of the quarantine, they will be subjected to a PCR test and if the result is negative, the quarantine will be terminated.

In case the PCR test result is positive, treatment will be conducted in agreement with the COVID-19 guidelines of the country’s Ministry of Health.

The statement also mentioned that the quarantine period for those who do not have a PCR test on the 10th day will be extended to 14 days.

The requirements are not applicable to transit and/or transfer passengers said the embassy. For the crew, there won’t be any PCR requirement and quarantine, the embassy added.
The statement said Passengers under the age of 12 will be exempted from PCR test and vaccination certificate applications on entry.
