In a heartfelt announcement, Atsuko Sato, the owner of Kabuso, revealed the sad demise of the famed Shiba Inu, Kabuso, on Friday. Kabuso, a 17-year-old dog, gained global recognition as the face behind the popular Doge meme and various other meme tokens.
She quietly passed away as if asleep while I caressed her,” wrote Atsuko Sato, acknowledging the immense affection showered upon Kabuso by her admirers.
Additionally, Atsuko Sato informed about a farewell gathering planned for Kabo-chan on Sunday, May 26th, in Japan’s Nara City. The event, scheduled from 1 to 4 p.m., aims to celebrate the cherished memories shared with Kabuso.
Kabuso’s legacy lives on well outside of the internet, and will forever be remembered by meme enthusiasts and crypto fans around the globe. Despite grappling with medical conditions, including cholangiohepatitis and chronic lymphoma leukaemia he was first diagnosed in 2022 Kabuso continued to be a beacon of light for millions worldwide.
