Vin Diesel recently gave fans a major update on Fast and Furious 11 during an appearance at the Fuel Fest alongside co-stars Tyrese Gibson and Cody Walker. He confirmed that the final chapter of the beloved franchise is currently in the works at the studio, building anticipation for the saga’s epic conclusion.

Diesel shared that when the studio approached him about returning as Dominic Toretto, he laid down three key conditions. First, the story needed to return to its roots in Los Angeles. Second, it would bring the focus back to car culture and street racing. And most notably, Diesel insisted on reuniting Dom with Brian O’Conner, the role made famous by Paul Walker before his tragic death in 2013.

While details remain under wraps, fans are eager to see how the filmmakers will bring back Brian O’Conner—possibly through advanced CGI or other technology—as a way to honor Walker’s legacy. The new installment is scheduled for release in April 2027, nearly four years after Fast X hit theaters in 2023. Originally planned as a two-part saga, it’s still unclear whether Fast and Furious 11 will serve as a direct continuation or a standalone finale.

The last film featured a star-studded cast including Diesel, Alan Ritchson, Jason Momoa, Michelle Rodriguez, Rita Moreno, and Brie Larson, and grossed over $700 million worldwide. Fans can now look forward to the franchise’s thrilling finale as it gears up to roar back onto screens in 2027.
