Spider-Man: Brand New Day: The next Spider-Man movie starring Tom Holland is slowly coming together, and it now has another big actor joining the cast. This has made fans very curious and excited about what could happen next to Peter Parker in the Marvel world (MCU).
The new movie is called Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and it’s planned to come out next year. It will continue the story from the last movie, No Way Home, where Peter Parker had to start over alone because everyone forgot who he is, even his closest friends and loved ones.
One new actor, Sadie Sink, is joining the film, but we don’t know yet who she’ll play. It seems like her character will become part of Peter’s new group of friends. Now, a second actor, Liza Colón-Zayas, has also been added to the cast. This has led fans to start guessing if Peter might be getting ready to pass on the Spider-Man role to someone new.
There are no official details yet about who Liza Colón-Zayas will be playing. But fans think she might be cast as Rio Morales, the mother of Miles Morales, another version of Spider-Man who’s become really popular lately. Miles has appeared in animated Spider-Man movies made by Sony and in PlayStation games, so fans are wondering if he might now appear in a live-action Marvel movie for the first time.
Right now, all of this is just rumours and guesses, but it’s enough to get people very excited. If you’re looking forward to this new Spider-Man sequel, keep reading; there’s a lot more to come about Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
Latest news: Where is Spider-Man: Brand New Day being filmed?
There’s a fun new update about Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The movie is getting closer to being made, with filming set to start in a few months.
Tom Holland will return as Spider-Man in this fourth film since the character became part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The story will continue from where the last movie, No Way Home (which came out in 2021), left off.
Earlier this year, the movie’s name and release date were announced, and now there’s more good news: according to The Herald, filming will begin in August in Glasgow, Scotland. On top of that, ScreenDaily shared that pre-production (early planning and set work) has already started at Pinewood Studios, which means everything is moving forward smoothly.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day release date
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is currently planned to release in movie theatres on Friday, 31st July 2026. However, some fans are starting to wonder if that date might change, especially because Marvel has been shifting around some of its other movie release dates.
Originally, Brand New Day was expected to come after another big Marvel film, Avengers: Doomsday, which was set for May 2026. That made sense, since fans thought the two stories might be connected in some way.
But now, Avengers: Doomsday has been delayed to December 2026, which means the new Spider-Man movie will now come out before it. Because of this, Marvel may need to rethink how the two stories fit together.
There’s also a chance that Brand New Day could be moved to a later date, but that’s a tough call. Since this is probably Sony Pictures’ biggest movie right now, they may not want to delay it just to line up with Marvel’s schedule.
For now, though, the plan is still to release Spider-Man: Brand New Day in July 2026, with filming expected to begin this summer. If anything changes, updates will be shared.
Who is Sadie Sink playing in Spider-Man 4?
Sadie Sink is joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the upcoming movie Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and fans are already guessing which character she might play. Right now, Marvel hasn’t officially said anything about her role, so it’s all just speculation.
One rumour going around is that she could be playing Jean Grey, also known as Dark Phoenix. This is a popular character from the X-Men stories, and she has already appeared in past movies played by Famke Janssen and Sophie Turner. Since Marvel is slowly bringing the X-Men into its current universe, some fans think this could be the perfect time to introduce Jean Grey again, and they believe Sadie Sink would be a good fit for the part. But so far, nothing has been confirmed.
Other fans think she could be playing someone else entirely. Some believe she might play Angelica Jones, also known as Firestar, a character who is a mutant and has worked with Spider-Man in the comic books. Others have guessed that she could take on the role of Felicia Hardy, also known as Black Cat, who is sometimes Spider-Man’s enemy, sometimes his partner, and sometimes even a romantic interest. Another possibility is Gwen Stacy, one of Spider-Man’s past love interests, who has appeared in earlier Spider-Man films played by different actresses.
At this point, we can’t say for sure who Sadie Sink will be playing, and all of this is just fan speculation. As soon as Marvel shares more information or any strong rumours surface, we’ll be sure to share the updates.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day plot: What could happen in Spider-Man 4?
Right now, not much has been officially revealed about the story of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, but Tom Holland, who plays Peter Parker, has shared that it will feel like a “fresh start” for the character. This new film will continue the story from where No Way Home left off.
At the end of No Way Home, Peter made a huge personal sacrifice. To stop the multiverse from spiraling out of control, he asked Doctor Strange to cast a spell that made everyone in the world forget who Peter Parker is. While this saved the world, it came at a heartbreaking cost: the people Peter loved the most, his girlfriend MJ, his best friend Ned, and his mentor Happy, no longer remembered him. When he saw them again after the spell, they treated him like a stranger.
This major turning point in Peter’s life is similar to a controversial storyline from the Spider-Man comic books called One More Day, where Peter and Mary Jane made a deal to erase their marriage to save Aunt May’s life. The film’s title, Brand New Day, actually comes from the comic arc that followed One More Day, which focused on Peter starting over from scratch, alone, without the people who once defined his life.
Tom Holland spoke about the film at CinemaCon, saying that Brand New Day really is a “fresh start,” though he didn’t reveal much more. The last time we saw Peter, he was living alone in a small New York City apartment and preparing to face life without the emotional and practical support of his friends and loved ones. That new, more independent version of Spider-Man seems to be where the story is headed.
When Holland appeared on Good Morning America last year, he described the movie as “crazy” and “very different” from anything they’ve done before in the Spider-Man series. That got fans thinking the film might connect to Avengers: Doomsday, which was originally supposed to come out before Brand New Day. But now that Doomsday has been delayed until after Brand New Day, any direct tie-ins may be adjusted or dropped.
In short, the next Spider-Man movie is expected to explore a more mature, isolated Peter Parker trying to rebuild his life and identity in a world that has forgotten him.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day cast: Who will be in the Spider-Man 4 cast?
It’s no shocker that Tom Holland is back again as Peter Parker in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. This will be his fourth time playing the iconic role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). And while nothing’s confirmed yet, Zendaya will likely return too as MJ, Peter’s love interest, who heartbreakingly forgot who he was at the end of No Way Home.
One of the most exciting updates is that Stranger Things star Sadie Sink is joining the cast in an important new role. Marvel hasn’t said who she’s playing yet, but fans are already coming up with wild guesses. Sink is a rising star with a lot of talent, so it’s safe to say her character will probably matter a lot in the story.
Another major addition is Liza Colón-Zayas, known for her Emmy-winning role in The Bear. Marvel hasn’t revealed who she’ll play either, but comic book fans have a strong hunch: many think she could be Rio Morales, the mother of Miles Morales, the character who takes up the Spider-Man mantle in a different universe. That might sound like a reach, but it wouldn’t be surprising since Miles’s arrival in the MCU has been hinted at for years. (In fact, Donald Glover played Miles’s uncle back in Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2017.)
There are no official announcements yet about who else is returning, but people are hoping Jacob Batalon will be back as Ned, Peter’s former best friend, and Jon Favreau could possibly reprise his role as Happy Hogan, a long-time supporting character in the series.
Fans are also wondering if we’ll get to see Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield again. They both played Spider-Man in earlier films and made a hugely popular comeback in No Way Home. Andrew Garfield recently said in an interview that he’d love to return, but only if the role was “weird,” “unique,” and “offbeat”, basically something unexpected and creatively free, like the animated Spider-Verse movies.
As for who’s directing this new chapter? It’s Destin Daniel Cretton, the filmmaker behind Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. He already has a Marvel film under his belt, so he’s no stranger to handling big superhero action and emotional depth.
Casting news is still rolling in, and more big names are expected to be revealed as the movie gets closer to filming. For now, all signs point to Brand New Day being both a fresh start for Peter Parker and possibly a doorway to the future of Spider-Man in the MCU.
Is there a Spider-Man 4 trailer?
Since filming for Spider-Man: Brand New Day hasn’t started yet, we’re still quite far off from seeing a trailer or any official footage. Right now, there aren’t even any first-look images of the cast in costume or on set. Once Marvel drops anything at all, whether it’s a teaser, a behind-the-scenes photo, or a full trailer, it’ll definitely make headlines, and we’ll update you as soon as it’s out.
For now, the movie is scheduled to hit theatres on Friday, 31st July 2026. So there’s still some time to go, but excitement is already building.
