Gabriel Macht recently opened up about his former Suits co-star Meghan Markle, teasing the possibility of her returning as Rachel Zane in the Suits spinoff. While rumors about Markle’s return have been circulating ever since the spinoff’s premiere, neither Markle nor the show’s producers have confirmed any specifics about her involvement.
In an interview with USA Today, Macht shared his thoughts on the situation, noting how surreal it was to be fielding questions about the Royal Family, a far cry from their time on Suits. He reflected on the global popularity of Markle, acknowledging that her fame has only grown since leaving the show. He also hinted that her return could happen, saying, “Possibly. I mean, she’s quite well-known around the world these days, right?”
As for the spinoff’s future, Macht mentioned that other former Suits stars might also return. He confirmed that Rick Hoffman would be coming back and teased that Patrick J. Adams and Sarah Rafferty have expressed interest in reprising their roles as well. While Macht didn’t confirm Markle’s return for this season, he expressed optimism, saying, “I’m sure that’s gonna happen at some point. I don’t know for sure right now if it’s happening this season. Never say never.”
Macht also briefly commented on Markle’s Netflix show, With Love, Meghan, admitting that he hadn’t yet had the chance to watch it but expressed interest in checking it out soon.
The hints from Macht have sparked excitement among Suits fans, who continue to hold out hope for a possible reunion with Rachel Zane.
