According to CNN, the Murdoch family, particularly Australian media mogul Rupert Murdoch and his family, share similarities with the Roys depicted in “Succession.” Both dynasties exhibit patterns where the patriarch, much like Logan Roy in the series, plans to pass down the company to one of his children but has yet to formally designate a successor to the vast media empire, News Corp.
