One of the most highly anticipated new anime sports series around the world, Blue Lock depicts an intense rivalry between soccer players through the high-octane, egocentric playing field created by the Blue Lock project. Season 3 is getting fans hyped up with even more explosive matches, intense character development, international competitions, and competitive fire, all while adapting from the action-packed Neo Egoist League arc, coming off the intense season 2 highs in 2024.
Blue Lock Season 3: Release Date Speculation And Latest Updates
Blue Lock Season 3 has been confirmed, and while no official release date has been announced, early reports state that it should air sometime around early 2026.
The third season was officially announced in late September 2025 at the “Blue Lock Egoist Festa 2025” fan event. Season 3 will be adapting the new and anticipated Neo Egoist League Arc (the arc after U20 nga, the arc that was covered in Season 2) and includes all Blue Lock players competing with (to and against) some of the top teams of the world (Germany, France, Spain, Italy and England) in a tournament to prepare for the U20 World Cup tournament.
Production on the third season is currently in progress, with the same direction staff and voice actors like Yoichi Isagi and others expected to return.
Many fans are posting on social media sites (Instagram, Facebook, Reddit, and X) and other anime news outlets saying that October 9, 2026, is the likely air date…but none of these outlets are backed with official confirmation from major distributors (like Crunchyroll) or the production committee. While announcing earlier this year, many report that Fox Network (and Netflix, too) is projecting a release in 2026. Initial prediction was Summer 2026…which will probably also be around the time of the broadcast.
