
Nightingale of India- Lata Mangeshkar passed away on Sunday at the age of 92 after a prolonged illness. Lata Jii’s body will be at her Peddar Road house till afternoon, while her body will be cremated at Shivaji Park in Mumbai.=
The 92-year-old singer was hospitalized on January 8 after she tested positive for Covid-19 with mild symptoms. Mangeshkar was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital where she was under the treatment of Dr Pratit Samdani and his team of doctors.
However, Prime Minister Modi ji tweeted after receiving such down-hearted news.

On the professional front, Lata jii is considered to be one of the legends of singing in India. Moreover, she was awarded the Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civilian honors, in 2001. Mangeshka has also received several other awards that includes the Padma Bhushan, the Padma Vibhushan, the Dada Saheb Phalke Award, and multiple National Film Awards.
