Maharashtra Cyber Police Department, asked netizens to refrain from circulating pictures of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, warns legal action.

Actor Sushant Singh Rajput committed suicide on Sunday. Sushant took his life at his Carter Road apartment by hanging himself to the ceiling. He was found dead at around 12:30 in the afternoon. The sudden demise of the actor left the whole country in shock.

While many people were incredulous about actors suicide, there were some who circulated actor’s ‘bad taste’ last moment pictures. After some of those pictures went viral on the internet

The nodal agency for cyber-crime investigation in Maharashtra, Maharashtra Cyber Police Department, on Sunday (June 14) asked the digital citizens to refrain from circulating pictures of deceased actor Sushant Singh Rajput. They also asked people to delete pictures that have been already shared and warned of legal action for circulating photos of actor’s body.

Maharashtra Cyber Police took to their official Twitter account to share the information , “A disturbing trend has been observed on Social Media platforms by Maharashtra Cyber that pictures of deceased actor Shri. Sushant Singh Rajput are being circulated, which are disturbing and in bad taste.”

“Maharashtra Cyber exhorts and directs all netizens to refrain from circulating the aforesaid pictures. The pictures already circulated should be deleted henceforth.”, Maharashtra cyber police added.

Maharashtra Cyber Police on May 20, 2020, had issued a notice under Section 149 of CRPC to certain users who were using social media platforms for circulating negative, derogatory, offensive and defamatory posts on social media. They have asked them to refrain from doing such act as it’s an offense under the Information Technology Act, IPC.

Sushant Singh Rajput’s last rites to be performed at Bandra cremation ground. Sushant’s sister Neetu Singh and brother-in-law OP Singh, reached Bandra on Sunday. While his father and other family members have also arrived in Mumbai from Patna.

Rest of his family members will reach Mumbai around 11:00 am in the morning. Sushant’s sister, Shweta Singh Kirti, who lives in the US, though a Facebook post informed that will be travelling to India on June 16.

Sushant was a one of the most loved and admired faces of Indian celluloid. An actor who was more than just acting. Left us all with his memories and profound intellect.After actor’s post-mortem, his funeral to be held in Mumbai.
