South Korean singer, model, actor and dancer Kim Jong – in, popularly known as Kai is an active member of the South Korean – Chinese boy group EXO along with its sub unit EXO- K and South Korean supergroup SuperM under SM Entertainment.
On 3rd May, Kai’s company SM Entertainment has announced that Kai will be enlisting in the military in the beginning of May. The announcement read, “Kai was preparing for Exo’s comeback for this year, but because of recent change in regulations by the Military Manpower Administration, he’s set to enter the army recruit training center on May 11. He’ll receive basic military training, and he will then serve as a public service worker.”
SM Entertainment further stated that Kai’s enlistment location and time will not be evealed, and there is no special event planned.
Kai debuted as a k-pop idol in 2012 with EXO-K’s single album ‘What Is Love’. In 2020, November Kai began his career as a soloist with the release of his extended play, Kai. Apart from his musical career, Kai has also appeared in several television dramas such as Choco Bank, Adante, Spring Has Come.
Recently, Kai has released his third mini album ‘Rover’ which became a massive hit achieving top spot on the circle weekly chart twice, 1st place on the iTunes Top Album Chart in 50 regions worldwide, 1st place on the OQ Music Digital Album sales and many more like that.
