Matthew Mott, the coach of the England cricket team, has disclosed his commitment to providing ample opportunities for star players Ben Stokes and Jofra Archer to recuperate from their injuries in preparation for the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
Both players are currently sidelined, with Stokes recovering from knee surgery after the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup and Archer contending with a persistent shoulder issue. Mott’s emphasis on affording them every opportunity to regain fitness underscores the team’s aspirations for a strong and formidable presence at the T20 World Cup.
“I think that’s a given. Ben, aside from his incredible match-winning ability in every department, gives us that ability to have a seam bowler in your top six that gives you so many options with your team balance… It makes selection a hell of a lot easier. So that’s a given,” Mott said.
No doubt England side will gain absolute strength by adding these star duo on their T20 World Cup squad. Coach and other selectors will be eagerly waiting for both Jofra Archer and Ben Stokes to recover as soon as possible.
