This year has seen one of the hardest blows at businesses and industries, particularly the film industry. Bollywood has been mourning as it lost some of its most venerated legends. Rishi Kapoor and Irrfan Khan were two actors whose sudden demise shocked family, friends, colleagues, and fans. With Bollywood grief-stricken, many families in the industry have decided to tone down the lucrative Diwali festivities.
In a fresh report, Mumbai Mirror stated that the Bachchan family and Ekta Kapoor are canceling all of their plans for the festival this year. These families have had a legacy of hosting the most bizarre parties every year. But after the demise of Rishi Kapoor and Ritu Nanda, who is Shwetha Bachchan’s mother-in-law, the Bachchan’s have decided to use the time to heal wounds their loved ones left. Besides the unfortunate loss, the family is also socially distancing as Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, and Aaradhya recently tested positive.
Ekta Kapoor’s parties often have most of the television industry celebrating the festival together. But she too will be canceling festivities this year.
