The trailer of SonyLIV’s upcoming original web series Avrodh: The Siege Within is out. The series feature Amit Sadh, Neeraj Kabi, Darshan Kumar, Madhurima Tuli, Anant Mahadevan, Vikram Gokhale and Arif Zakaria. It will showcase the other side of 2016 URI Surgical strike by the Indian army on terror launch pads across Line of Control (LoC).
The trailer begins with Neeraj Kabi who presumably plays National Security Advisor Ajit Doval. He states that although India knows what the surgical strike was, but they don’t know the ‘real’ story behind it. Showing Amit Sadh as the lead of the army, the rest of the video focuses on a detailed plan to kill the real culprit. There have been a mention of Jaish-e-Mohammad, a Pakistan-based terrorist organisation. The plan revolves around the killing of the terrorist. Anant Mahadevan is playing a powerful character who works along side Neeraj to execute the plan. Former Bigg Boss contestant Madurima Tuli will be seen playing a never seen before character.

The series is based on a chapter from India’s Most Fearless, a book by Rahul Singh and Shiv Aroor. The trailer promises an action packed series and has a touch of patriotism to it.
The show will obviously be compared to Vicky Kaushal’s blockbuster URI The Surgical Strike. Although the trailer and the star cast promises a brilliant performance. We will have to wait and see what the show has to offer.
The series will release on OTT Platform SonyLIV on July 31, 2020.
