Lady Gaga asked millions of her followers on social media in late February to keep an eye out for her two stolen bulldogs while she was filming in Italy. The singer’s dog walker was shot while walking her three dogs in Los Angeles in a violent incident, and two of her bulldogs were taken. According to recent sources, the five people involved in this incident have been detained by police and even taken to proceedings.
In connection with the murders, James Jackson, 18; Jaylin White, 19; Lafayette Whaley, 27; Harold White, 40; and Jennifer McBride, 50 have been arrested and charged. They have, though, pleaded not guilty to the charge, according to E!News. According to the portal, a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office confirmed that each defendant pleaded not guilty to the allegations brought against them.
In terms of offenses, James, Jaylin, and Lafayette each face one count of attempted murder and robbery. Harold and Jennifer, on the other hand, have been charged with one count each of accessory attempted murder. Apart from these charges, James was also charged with one count of “assault with a semiautomatic firearm and a felon carrying a concealed firearm in a vehicle” and Jaylin is facing one count of “assault by means of force likely to produce great bodily injury”, reported E!News.
They are now being held on $1 million bail each. It remains to be seen how the legal hearings will now continue.
Ryan Fischer, Gaga’s dog walker, was recovering in the hospital and wrote about the incident in a lengthy Instagram post in March.
