Garena Free Fire is declaring ‘Dussehra Dhamaka‘, a new tournament on the battle royale game platform that star streamers playing for a big prize pool. Here are the details about the new tournament.
The Dussehra Dhamaka tournament will take place on October 15 and October 16 at 3 pm and will be held on the Booyah! gaming platform. There will be a prize pool of $3,000 (about Rs 2,26,200) for the winners.
Topmost streamers such as Jonty Gaming, X-Mania, Instagamer, TripleR, Gaming Girl, and others will participate in the game. Booyah! will also be launching its newest feature – ‘multiperspectivity’, enabling watchers to switch out of the leading broadcast and catch their preferred streamer’s point of view for the first time in India.
Format of the tournament
The Dussehra Dhamaka will match the classic Battle Royale format and be played above six matches each day. Winners per day will be decided based on the points method. Each team will have two streamers and a ‘+1’ who can be either a viewer, a mod, or a friend.
Streamers will be required to play in a mixed team form to get as many kills as possible, given that the points method tends towards kill points above placement points. A total of 12 teams will be competing per day, which implies viewers get to see 24 streamers per day.
Prizes for viewers
Fans also have a chance to win exciting prizes such as Free Fire emotes, Gun Crates, Weapons and Diamond Royale vouchers. Note that these are not assured prizes and may be granted through a lucky draw/spin or comparable method. Spectators will also have to watch the stream for at least 30 mins to be suitable.
Ways to watch
Booyah! is available through the website or the smartphone apps, open for Android and iOS on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, respectively.
