The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra 5G is the latest ultra-premium flagship smartphone from Samsung. It was launched in India in January 2021.
Whereas, the iPhone 14 Pro Max was launched on 7th September 2022. It is a sub-continuation to the iPhone 14 series which has the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus and iPhone 14 Pro as its other variants.

The Galaxy S23 Ultra 5G has an 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a resolution of 3200 x 1440 pixels and the classic 120Hz refresh rate with HDR10+ support and the Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection.
The 14 pro max comes with Ceramic Shield, tougher than any smartphone glass with surgical-grade stainless steel 17.00 cm (6.7″) display sizes. It comes with a 12GB or 16GB LPDDR5 RAM, 256GB or 512GB UFS 3.1 internal storage. Also, there are no expandable storage support available in the smartphone.
The 14 Pro Max comes packed with 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, 1TB of inbuilt storage.

The 14 Pro Max comes with a rear camera with the classic Apple triple camera setup featuring a 48-megapixel (f/1.78) primary camera; a 12-megapixel (f/2.2) camera, and a 12-megapixel (f/1.78) camera. Which is said to be an improved version with ultra-wide, wide, and telephoto lenses, LiDAR scanner, and improved night mode.
Its front camera has a 40MP selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture, Auto-HDR and a 4K video recording at 60fps and 1080p at 240fps.
The 14 Pro Max comes with a single front camera setup for high quality selfies featuring a 12-megapixel sensor with an f/1.9 aperture.
The Galaxy S23 Ultra 5G comes with a 5,000 mAh battery, 25W fast charging, 15W wireless charging, 4.5W reverse wireless charging.
Whereas, the 14 Pro Max comes with a 4,323 mAh battery which supports wireless charging, as well as proprietary fast charging. It has a MagSafe wireless charging up to 15W and a Qi wireless charging up to 7.5W.
The Galaxy S23 Ultra 5G comes with the classic Android 11 with One UI 3.1.
And in the obviousness of it all, the iPhone 14 Pro Max has the all new iOS 16.
However, the Galaxy S23 Ultra 5G has an in-display fingerprint sensor, Face recognition, 5G connectivity, Dual-SIM support (nano-SIM and eSIM), IP68 water and dust resistance, Stereo speakers tuned by AKG and a USB Type-C 3.2, Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 6E, NFC, GPS.
The 14 Pro Max can support the strong 5G connectivity and has improved Face ID precisely 3D Face Recognition, a Compass/ Magnetometer, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer and a Ambient light sensor as well as improved water resistance, and no ports (wireless charging and data transfer only).
In India, the most commonly available color with majority retailers is said to bet the Phantom Black and Phantom Silver.
The 14 Pro Max was launched in Space Black, Silver, Gold, and Deep Purple colors. It features an IP68 rating for dust and water protection. However, availability may differ based on regional retailers and stock inventory.
The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra 5G is priced at Rs. 1,05,999 for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant, and Rs. 1,16,999 for the 16GB RAM + 512GB storage variant.
