Nothing, a London-based tech company had recently launched its newest smartphone, The Nothing Phone 1 on the 12th of July, 2022. Whereas, Apple had rolled out its newest iPhone 14 series which included the iPhone 14 Pro Max variant. Which was launched by the tech giant on the 7th of September, 2022.

The Nothing Phone 1 has a display of 6.55 inches with a resolution of 1080×2400 pixels. It has a FHD+ resolution standard and a refresh rate of 120 Hz.

The 14 Pro Max comes with Ceramic Shield, tougher than any smartphone glass with surgical-grade stainless steel 17.00 cm (6.7″) display sizes. It offers a resolution of 2796×1290 pixels which has a pixel density of 460 pixels per inch (ppi). Which is equivalent to the OLED display with LTPO technology.

Processor
Nothing Phone 1 uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G Plus processor.

The iPhone 14 Pro Max on the other hand has the hexa-core Apple A16 Bionic processor.

RAM and Storage

The Phone 1 has a RAM of 8GB, 12GB and internal storage of 128GB, 256GB.

The 14 Pro Max comes packed with 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, 1TB of inbuilt storage.

Rear Cameras

The Nothing Phone 1’s rear cameras have both autofocus and flash with a dual camera setup of 50-megapixel + 50-megapixel.

The 14 Pro Max comes with a rear camera with the classic Apple triple camera setup featuring a 48-megapixel (f/1.78) primary camera; a 12-megapixel (f/2.2) camera, and a 12-megapixel (f/1.78) camera. Which is said to be an improved version with ultra-wide, wide, and telephoto lenses, LiDAR scanner, and improved night mode.

Front Camera

The Nothing Phone 1’s front camera isa 16-megapixel single camera.

The 14 Pro Max comes with a single front camera setup for high quality selfies featuring a 12-megapixel sensor with an f/1.9 aperture.

Battery

The Nothing Phone 1 has a 4500 mAh battery size with 33W PD3.0 wired charging: full charge in 70 mins and a 15W Qi wireless charging with dual charging support: full charge in 120 mins. As well as 5W reverse charging to only use with chargers compatible with Quick Charge 4.0.

Whereas, the 14 Pro Max comes with a 4,323 mAh battery which supports wireless charging, as well as proprietary fast charging. It has a MagSafe wireless charging up to 15W and a Qi wireless charging up to 7.5W.

Operating System

The Nothing Phone 1 comes with Android 12.

The iPhone14 Pro Max comes with the all new iOS 16.

Other Features and Connectivity

The Nothing Phone 1 has an In-display Fingerprint Sensor, Accelerometer, Electronic Compass, Gyroscope, Ambient Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Sensor Core and a Front RGB sensor. As well as 3 high definition mics with Dual stereo speakers

The 14 Pro Max can support the strong 5G connectivity and has improved Face ID precisely 3D Face Recognition, a Compass/ Magnetometer, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer and a Ambient light sensor as well as improved water resistance, and no ports (wireless charging and data transfer only).

As of now the Nothing Phone 1 is retailing for Rs. 26,999

The iPhone 14 Pro Max is priced in India for Rs. 1,32,990.

Color

The official Nothing Phone website has the colors Black and White available for Indian users.

The 14 Pro Max was launched in Space Black, Silver, Gold, and Deep Purple colors. It features an IP68 rating for dust and water protection. However, availability may differ based on regional retailers and stock inventory.
