iPhone 15 most likely to launch next month; Here are the details

iPhone 15 series might go on sale on September 22. Here’s why!

One of the most significant tech events of this year is going to be the launch of the new iPhone. Generally, the new iPhones are launched by Apple in the first two weeks of September and this year too, it is expected to be the same.

According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, an event might have been scheduled by Apple for either September 12 or 13. Gurman also mentioned in the weekly newsletter that the iPhone 15 series might go on sale on September 22.

A September 13 launch date rumour also surfaced via a report from 9t5Mac. Last week, a report by 9to5Mac suggested that employees have been told not to take off on September 13 because of a “major smartphone announcement” by major American carriers.

That rumoured launch date is however in line with previous launches of the iPhone. Apple released the 14th iPhone on September 7, last year.

The A17 Bionic chip is expected to power the new iPhone 15, which is expected to be a significant update over the A16 chip in the iPhone 14. It is expected that the A17 chip will be faster and more efficient, leading to improvements in performance and battery life. However, only the Pro models can be reserved for this new chip.

Moreover, rumours have been circulated that all models of the iPhone 15 will have a 48MP camera. This would be a major improvement over 12MP cameras in the non-Pro models. It is also rumoured that the iPhone 15 Pro model will come with a periscope zoom lens, which could allow you to see up to 6X optical magnification. In the iPhone 14 Pro models, this would be an important improvement over the 3x optical zoom.

In addition, it is most certain that the iPhone 15 series will switch from the Lightning port to the USB C port.

It is a decision imposed by the European Union on Apple.

Lastly, it is rumoured that the iPhone 15 Pro models have a titanium frame which will give them greater durability than their previous models having stainless steel frames. In addition, the titanium frame would make the iPhone 15 Pro a lot lighter than its previous models.
