iPhone 14 Plus vs iPhone 14 Pro Max; Check the specs and price that make the iPhones different

Apple launched its all new iPhone 14 series which is taking over the hands of millions of users. However, here’s why its 14 Plus and 14 Pro Max variant are different:

Apple had launched its all new iPhone 14 series which included multiple variants of the smartphone such as iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. It had launched these brand new iPhones on the 7th of September, 2022.

The 14 Plus has a display screen of 6.68-inch with a resolution of 1284×2778 pixels which has a pixel density of 458 pixels per inch (PPI).

The 14 Pro Max comes with Ceramic Shield, tougher than any smartphone glass with surgical-grade stainless steel 17.00 cm (6.7″) display sizes. It offers a resolution of 2796×1290 pixels which has a pixel density of 460 pixels per inch (ppi). Which is equivalent to the OLED display with LTPO technology

Processor

The iPhone 14 Plus uses a hexa-core Apple A15 Bionic processor.

The iPhone 14 Pro Max on the other hand has the hexa-core Apple A16 Bionic processor.

RAM and Storage

The 14 Plus has no expandable storage but has inbuilt storage of 128GB, 256GB, 512GB.

The 14 Pro Max comes packed with 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, 1TB of inbuilt storage.

Rear Cameras

The 14 Plus comes with a double camera setup for the rear cameras, which are of 12-megapixel (f/1.5) + 12-megapixel (f/2.4) respectively. They use LED rear flash for good quality image capturing.

The 14 Pro Max comes with a rear camera with the classic Apple triple camera setup featuring a 48-megapixel (f/1.78) primary camera; a 12-megapixel (f/2.2) camera, and a 12-megapixel (f/1.78) camera. Which is said to be an improved version with ultra-wide, wide, and telephoto lenses, LiDAR scanner, and improved night mode.

Front Camera

The 14 Plus comes with a single front camera like the Pro Max. Which features a 12-megapixel (f/1.9) sensor.

The 14 Pro Max comes with a single front camera setup for high quality selfies featuring a 12-megapixel sensor with an f/1.9 aperture.

Battery

The 14 Plus comes with a 4,323 mAh battery which cannot be removed and uses wireless charging.

Whereas, the 14 Pro Max comes with a 4,323 mAh battery which supports wireless charging, as well as proprietary fast charging. It has a MagSafe wireless charging up to 15W and a Qi wireless charging up to 7.5W.

And in the obviousness of it all, both the iPhone 14 Plus and Pro Max has the all new iOS 16.

Other Features

The 14 Plus can support Wi-Fi standard 802.11 ax, GPS, Bluetooth v 5.30 and Lightning. It has the following sensors, 3D face recognition, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor, Gyroscope and a Barometer.

The 14 Pro Max can support the strong 5G connectivity and has improved Face ID precisely 3D Face Recognition, a Compass/ Magnetometer, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer and a Ambient light sensor as well as improved water resistance, and no ports (wireless charging and data transfer only).

Colors

The 14 Plus is available in Midnight, Purple, Starlight, RED and Blue shades.

The 14 Pro Max was launched in Space Black, Silver, Gold, and Deep Purple colors. It features an IP68 rating for dust and water protection. However, availability may differ based on regional retailers and stock inventory.

The iPhone 14 Plus is available with many online and offline retailers and starts at Rs. 80,999.
