Spotify to add AirPlay 2 support for iOS users

However, it had been the first time for Apple’s casting feature that was poorly supported outside of iOS’s own devices.

The wait would be longer for the Spotify users to get complete AirPlay 2 support on the Apple devices.
Spotify had recently confirmed about adding AirPlay 2 support for their iOS app which had been delayed but they had said that the feature was still on its way as the music streaming platform was working on making that a reality.

The Verge had mentioned that some doubt was cast on AirPlay 2 inclusion when a tech website had spotted a forum post where a Spotify moderator had claimed that the audio driver compatibility issues might mean that the feature wouldn’t be added for the foreseeable future.

However Spotify has claimed it to be wrong now and in a statement regarding the Airplay 2 from Spotify to the Verge, it had mentioned that in one post of Spotify’s Community page had contained incomplete information in regards to their plans for AirPlay 2 and that they would be supporting AirPlay 2 and were working into making that a reality.

It had been said that the AirPlay 2 would be added as a part of the iOS 11 update and would introduce multiroom audio, fairly broad support across a wide bundle of speakers, TV’s and streaming services, and Siri voice control.

However, it had been the first time for Apple’s casting feature that was poorly supported outside of iOS’s own devices.
