As a response to Chinese aggression along the LAC, the Indian Government banned many Chinese products and companies from operating in the Indian market. The heat was also faced by many Chinese apps including TikTok, WeChat Work etc.
But the PUBG Mobile App will now be able to make a come back in India after severing ties with its Tencent Holdings.
What people should know is that PUBG is owned by a South Korean Company and its Indian franchise was owned by Tencent Holdings which is a Chinese Company.
A statement made by the said, “PUBG Corporation has made the decision to no longer authorize the PUBG MOBILE franchise to Tencent Games in India. Moving forward, PUBG Corporation will take on all publishing responsibilities within the country.”
But what could still be a hindrance is that despite Tencent Holdings no longer being involved, they were the original developers.
