Now download COVID-19 vaccination certificate via WhatsApp, Here’s how

The interaction with the WhatsApp bot could be done in various languages and it would provide the information in either English or Hindi. To get the information in Hindi, a message should be sent saying “Hindi”.

WhatsApp has added a feature that would ease the lockdown restrictions, as the application had collaborated with Central Government which would benefit the users by allowing them to download their COVID-19 Vaccine Certificates.

The vaccine certificate would be stored on the MyGov Corona Helpdesk WhatsApp Chatbot.

To get the MyGov Corona Helpdesk WhatsApp Chatbot, the people have to save +91 9013151515 on their smartphone and after the number being saved, the users have to search it in their WhatsApp contact list and start chatting by sending “Download Certificate” to the chatbot, and the bot would send a six-digit OTP to the registered mobile number of the user. The OTP has to be typed in the chatbox and send to the bot.

The bot, after the confirmation of OTP, would send the user a message showing the name with which the number had been registered and would ask the user to type 1 to download the vaccination certificate and the bot would send the user their vaccination certificate which could be downloaded and kept at a safe place or be kept on the chat history, it would be easy for the user to locate whenever needed.

“Menu” could be sent to the chat to see other actions like checking out symptoms, professional advice, alerts, etc.
