Zack Franklin, a Shenzhen-based Amazon consultant for the merchants, said that Amazon had shut down thousands of its stores every single day for manipulating the review system, the only reason it was notable this time was because the stores they had shut down were big. One of the Amazons electronics vendor, Aukey, had generated more than three quarters of its revenue from Amazon.

Mpow, the main Amazon electronics store run by ByteDance and Xiaomi-backed consumer products from Patozon, had also been affected by the crackdown.
